Creeping Fascism September 27 2021

Yes, this series should probably be renamed “galloping fascism.”

“Capitol Police” Go Nationwide
This highly-specialized law enforcement agency is charged with protecting the federal government in Washington DC. But now it’s creating satellite offices around the country in order to, like the US military with its 100+ foreign bases, “fight them there so we don’t have to fight them here.”

U.S. Capitol Police plan to open a Tampa office. Why?

(Tampa Bay) — One of the first two field offices for the U.S. Capitol Police will open here in the coming weeks, the beginnings of a plan to substantially expand the agency’s geographic footprint beyond Washington, D.C.

Meant to bolster the agency’s ability to assess threats and provide security for members of Congress and their offices, according to the Capitol Police and members themselves, the expansion has drawn mixed reactions from politicians. It comes with the agency — which has long lacked transparency and has been the subject of scandal in recent years — still reeling from the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, a Tampa Democrat, met July 22 with Capitol Police officials and the sergeant at arms of the U.S. House, she said. “The fact that they’re coming to Tampa to expand law enforcement presence there makes me feel safer,” she said. “It’s vitally important that citizens feel safe coming to a (Congressional) office when they have an issue on their veterans’ benefits, their Medicare. I don’t want them to be deterred.”

Here’s a good video on the Capitol Police expansion by Hill Rising’s Kim Iversen:

US To Court Martial Unvaxxed Soldiers?

Biden Pushing For Dishonourable Discharges, Court Martials For Troops Who Refuse Vaccines

(Summit) – The Biden administration is pushing for dishonorable discharges and even court martialing for troops who disobey orders to get COVID vaccines.

GOP Representative Mark Green of Tennessee proposed an amendment this week to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would prohibit “any discharge but honorable” for troops who refuse vaccines.

The White House responded with a statement noting “The Administration strongly opposes section 716,” reasoning that it would “detract from readiness and limit a commander’s options for enforcing good order and discipline when a Service member fails to obey a lawful order to receive a vaccination.”

The statement added, “To enable a uniformed force to fight with discipline, commanders must have the ability to give orders and take appropriate disciplinary measures.”

Treasury Dept Begins Spying On Bank Accounts
The rich are notorious for using loopholes to avoid paying taxes. So the government wants … total access to the bank accounts of the 99%.

Treasury Department Seeks to Track Financial Transactions of Personal Bank Accounts Over $600

(FEE) – In May, the Treasury Department released the Biden administration’s revenue proposals for fiscal year 2022. One aspect of this document that has gone under-reported is the administration’s new plan for reporting requirements for financial institutions.

The document is unequivocal about the administration’s goal for financial reporting, stating, “this proposal would create a comprehensive financial account information reporting regime.”

The Biden administration’s goal here is to increase tax revenue by making sure no income avoids detection. How will the administration do this? It plans to leverage financial institutions like banks.

“[T]his requirement would apply to all business and personal accounts from financial institutions,” the proposal reads, “including bank, loan, and investment accounts, with the exception of accounts below a low de minimis gross flow threshold of $600 or fair market value of $600.”

In other words, financial institutions will report any flows in and out of business and personal accounts of more than $600.

Entire Continent Becomes Open Air Prison
Australia used to be the place that pretty much every American wanted to visit and maybe move to. Now, not so much, as the local government takes covid panic to dystopian extremes. Here’s one of many, many recent videos of police attacking peaceful gatherings for no apparent reason:

Russiagate Scam Begins To Unravel
Now back to the US for what is potentially the biggest and strangest example of creeping fascism, as Hillary Clinton’s lawyer is indicted by the Biden Justice Department for helping Clinton’s campaign fabricate those Trump-Russia accusations. Russiagate in other words.

In the following video, actual anti-fascists Jimmy Dore and Aaron Mate explain how the Clinton Campaign, the Democratic National Committee, numerous big-name reporters and the FBI cooked up the scam and sold it to the credulous half of the American public.
